HOW TO STYLE HAIR WITHOUT HEAT
HOW TO STYLE YOUR HAIR WITHOUT HEAT
When it comes to No Heat Hair Care, the main goal is usually shinier, softer and, healthier hair. Heat styling can dry out your hair, and cause breakage and damage. A heatless hairstyle is all about being kind to your hair. So try to ignore hairdryer, straightening irons and, curling tongs. Below, a few of the best ways not to pack heat this summer, for all hair types.
1. LOVE YOUR NATURAL HAIR TEXTURE. Whatever hair type you have either straight, curly, frizzy and, fine-you’ll let your hair dry naturally. You don’t need to use any heat hair care products. So love your natural fabulousness.
2. CHOOSE HAIRCARE PRODUCT OF YOUR HAIR TYPE. Sulfates, the cleansing agents in shampoos, “have become the gluten of the hair world,” says Erika Wasser, founder and, CEO of Glam & Go. So, while selecting shampoo and conditioner keep in mind your hair type. For example, if you have dry hair use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
3. SQUEEZE YOUR HAIR, DON’T RUB WITH TOWEL. When you rub the hair to dry it, you can damage hair and create frizz. Gentle squeezing removes more moisture and keeps the hair cuticle smooth.
4. KEEP UP THE CONDITIONING. Conditioning is key in hot weather because moisturized hair repels frizz. If you have curly hair, keep your hair conditioned so that it stays smooth. To avoid greasy strands, apply conditioner on the ends of the hair, where it truly needs hydration — not the scalp, Abramite says creative director and stylist at Maxine Salon in Chicago.
5. USE HAIR PRIMER. If you dry your hair naturally, it’s better to apply some hair primer after the shower. But keep sure your hair is not completely dry. This will control the frizziness of your hair for up to 48hours.
5. FIX THE BRIZZ. To control hair frizzes require a moisturizing hair mask through your mane once a week. Ingredients like coconut oil, egg, yogurt, argan oil or, any other oil do a positive impact on your hair. Hair tools can be your saving grace when it comes to reducing frizz. But so can the right products (minus the heat). Stylist Benjamin Terry says if you have a lot of curly hair and desire a more straight look, use a quarter-size amount of John Frieda Frizz Ease ($10) with a pump of Davines Oil ($23) throughout the hair when it’s damp. “Brush it out and go to sleep with it in a low pony to allow it to set straight. Then brush the hair in the morning (preferably with a Mason Pearson brush ($200) or something comparable),” he adds.
6. CURLS YOUR HAIR WITHOUT HEAT
There are so many ways to achieve no-heat curls. The simplest, and my go-to method, is simply twisting my freshly washed but dry hair in a bun and letting it sit for a couple of hours. (Freshly washed hair, either wet or slightly damp, will hold no heat curls better than day-old hair.
And at the end want to share one more tip as a bonus, most people need a trim about every 3 months, for others, it’s shorter or longer, Wasser ( a hairstylist) says.
You really can style your strands without heat all summer long and look fabulous!
